The Free Logan Square poster was created to bring together local Chicago Bicycle Motocross riders in an effort to protest the banning of bicycles from the Logan Boulevard Skatepark. These posters fit onto a sheet of standard sized 8.5"X11" paper, making it easy for people to print on a typical printer.

Jared Souney is a print designer and photographer with well over a decade of experience. He primarily works with action sports and has plenty of experience within this industry, so I contacted him and asked if he would be willing to do an interview for my website. He agreed, and this was the end result. I was responsible for the layout and identity, as well as the interview. Souney provided pieces of his work to use within the interview.

The Design Culture now was a final for my Beginning Typography class. The goal of the project was to create a 11'x17' poster that took a basic memo and transformed it into a poster that was aesthetically pleasing as well as informative. The poster had to be both attention-grabbing, as well as legible. Attention to things such as readability, design, and information hierarchy were taken into account.

The Great Ideas of Western Man booklet was a final for my Design Lab class. It took heavy influence from the Container Corporation of America's 1950s advertising campaign. Four different styles had to be used on each of the four quotes. For my campaign, I picked quotes from John F. Kennedy, Theodore Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Thomas Jefferson. The final product was an 8" by 8" booklet, saddle stitched.

Not much to say about these, except that I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! Standard business card size with double sided printing.

The Environmental Poster was a final for my Introduction to 2D design class. One of the purposes of the poster was to simplify a form and create a symbol for the environment from it. I took a very wavy and tall plant and made it rigid and geometric. This created a symbol looking as if it was about to take flight. The second purpose of the poster was to make a statement about the environment. I created a simple mantra to follow while creating this poster; "All of the problems in the world are not really problems unless there is an environment for them to be in." A sort of machine of problems was created behind the environmental symbol, with education, economy, military, and healthcare. Then final product was a 24"x36" print.
